Congress of Eastern European Initiatives took place on September 29 – October 1, 2016 .

From exchange of experience to common plans for the future. Step by step.

A feature of this year’s event was the enormous number of participants from the Ivano-Frankivsk region, as well as a special emphasis on the 25th anniversary of Ukrainian independence. Among the speakers were not only Polish political and public figures, but also former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. Also remembered super-ideas of the congress, for example, an interesting flashmob, the essence of which was reduced to the fact – how to attract a huge audience to the photo. It turns out – it is necessary for all to distribute the plaques with the original inscriptions and ask them to raise them up :).

In turn, the feature of this year’s participation in TAIF was speeches. The “Carpathian narrow-gauge” project was presented in the “Heritage” section: the history of the Carpathian Narrow Gauge Railway and the experience of this special cross-border project. In the section “Tourism” – the project “Eastern European pearls”: Audio tours of the cities of Eastern Europe.

Both projects were awarded by the Congress for the best project of cross-border cooperation, in particular the arpathian Narrow Gauge Railway project in the nomination “Heritage”, and “Eastern European pearls” in the nomination “Tourism”.
