Сourses of guides were created in Ivano-Frankivsk. The program includes three months of training for the current level of guides that will work with existing ones and develop new routes.
The courses will last for only three months, and during this time, as UKRINFORM notes, students learn methodical methods of excursions, learn how to compile and calculate routes, study the psychology of working with different groups of tourists, as well as history and monuments of Ivano-Frankivsk. Before the end of training students will prepare a “guide portfolio” and an author’s excursion.
The courses will be taught by trainers of the Ukrainian Association of Guides and FEG Tourist Guides – (FEG) of the European Guides Federation. On the official page, the FEG asserts themselves and their members:
“Using basic techniques that combine knowledge and practical skills – helping each living place be brought to life and often described as” ambassadors “for their country.”
